My name is Felipe Jiménez Ibarra, I was born in Resistencia (Chaco, Argentina). I moved to Spain in 2003 and became an astrophysicist there: Licenciatura (degree) in Physics, astrophysics specialty in 2014 and MSc in astrophysics, observation and instrumentation specialty in 2015 (both in the Universidad de La Laguna in Tenerife, Canary Island).

I got my PhD. at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias / Universidad de La Laguna in February 2020. My thesis, entitled "Optical spectroscopy as a tracer of accretion processes in low-mass X-ray binaries", was supervised by  Dr. Teo Munoz-Darias and Prof. Jorge Casares.

I currently live in Sydney, Australia. I'm interested in Low Mass X-ray Binary stars, especially from an observational point of view as well as pipeline development and python-based programming.
